Lay Readers (Lectors)

The Lay Readers ministry is a very important part of our church service.

This reading the two assigned lessons from the Old Testament and the New Testament, the Psalm for the day, and leading the Prayers of the People each Sunday with special readings during the Easter and Christmas seasons.

Our readers are volunteers on a rotating basis. It is hoped that this ministry enriches those who read as well as those who listen!

Please consider becoming a part of these ministries if you have a pleasant reading voice and/or would like to administer the communion chalice on Sundays. We need you! Training is available.  We encourage you to join us on a regular basis, and we especially encourage our youth to become readers!
